Access Tokens

1. What are Access Tokens

The Derbyshire traffic management centre can issue a special code that allows you to be tracked on the Derbyshire road network.

2. How it works

If you are using the Derbyshire road network for an event, such as those listed below, you can ask the traffic management centre to issue an Event Code that you can distribute to your participants.

• fun run
• cycling event
• walking event
• village fete

Everyone activating the code in the DRIVE mobile app will become visible to the staff in the Derbyshire traffic management centre, so other road users can be made aware of your presence

3. How long does it last

Access Tokens are designed to be used for a specific period of time, generally 24hrs, but can be made to last several days if required.

4. How do I get an Access Token

You need to apply via email to utmc@derbyshire.gov.uk stating,

• the name of the event
• the duration of the event
• a contact email and phone number
